How It Works

Photovoltaic functionality is based on solar cells. These convert radiant energy into electrical energy. They can be connected to your home and installed on roof, facades and open spaces with PV solar panels.

In principle, power generation can be divided into two steps

Energy production

When light falls on the photovoltaic (PV) modules, electrons are released in the solar cells. The positive or negative charge carriers collect at the electrical contacts, which creates a DC voltage between the front and back of the cell.

This photoelectric effect does not require any mechanical or chemical reactions and is therefore wear-free and maintenance-free.

Power conversion

The direct current generated by the solar panels is then converted from DC into grid-compliant AC alternating current by an inverter. Tested to safety standards and sophisticated processor technology as well as the latest generation of power electronics ensure effective conversion of the solar power. The alternating current generated can then be used in your own home or stored in a battery storage unit for use when you most need it.
